Albert Heijn, with over 125,000 colleagues, 1,250 stores, eight homeshop centers, and seven distribution centers, serves over six million plates every evening. We aim to make better food accessible to everyone. Better eating involves respecting humans, animals, and nature without wasting food, plastic, and packaging, and avoiding unnecessary CO2 emissions. Together with our dedicated farmers, growers, and suppliers, we are taking steps to do a little better each time.

For example, we have long-term partnerships with nearly 450 dairy farmers, 100 pig farmers, 200 poultry farmers, and 360 fruit and vegetable growers. Together, we invest in taste, quality, innovation, animal welfare, climate, and biodiversity, often for generations.
